The owner of this route has the exclusive distribution rights for a variety of snack products including Snyder’s pretzels, Cape Cod chips, O-Ke-Doke popcorn and Jay’s chips. These products, and a number of similar products, are distributed to local retail locations that sell snack products. Accounts are primarily on the northwest side of Milwaukee. The owner is responsible for ordering, delivering and stocking these products as necessary and earns a commission on their sales volume.
The current owner is averaging approximately $7,000 per week in sales volume. The commission rate is 17% and generates roughly $1,190 in gross weekly earnings. Operating costs will vary from owner to owner since they are largely travel (fuel, insurance, maintenance) related. Other expenses include the handheld computer/printer and other miscellaneous business costs. The current owner estimates their weekly costs at $300 and their average weekly net at $900 per week. Full training will be provided by the current owner and the step van (2007 workhorse, ~56000 miles) used for deliveries is included with the route.
